Robert Evans enjoyed a 40+ year career in education spanning both maintained and independent sectors and including a Headship. He has lived in the Locks Bottom area for 25 years with his wife Desiree, who is a retired Senior Health Visitor and currently a Governor at Ravens Wood. One of their grown up sons is a lawyer in the City and the other is a Partner in a Private Equity Fund in California, where he lives with their two grandchildren. He has been an elected Councillor in Bromley since 2005, and has occupied several senior positions including a five year stint as Executive Member for Social Care. Outside of the Council amongst several positions he is a Board Member of Mytime Active and a Governor of King’s University Hospital Trust. Although never teaching in the borough himself, he has maintained an interest in local schools, serving terms as Chairman of Governors and Governor. His main other interests are sporting- watching cricket as a member of MCC and Essex CCC and being a Board Member and Immediate Past President at Rosslyn Park Rugby Club.
