Staff Profiles

David has recently joined the Board of Trustees, having spent over 30 years as a Governor of Darrick Wood School. He was Chair of the Governing Body and served on many committees including the Finance, Risk Assessment and Building. He was also a member of the Trust Committee. David was involved with some large Building projects which included the 6th Form Building, and Phases 1 and 2 of the Sports Centre/ Performing Arts Building. He is passionate about championing the role Schools play in the overall successful development of our students. He worked closely with the Darrick Wood Headteacher, in developing the overall objectives for the School. David was a member of the Bromley Schools Forum and is currently on the Croydon IRP list of trained panel members. David spent his professional career working for a National Telecommunications Company, during which time he obtained his Engineering and Business qualifications, which included being a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology as a Ceng and a CDM (Construction Design and Management) Institute. Outside of Governance work, David is involved as a volunteer steward at a National Trust property, Trustee of a local Scout Group, maintains his vintage cars, and enjoys visiting WW2 and SOE places of interest and going to the theatre.
