BackMichelle joined IMAT as Director of Inclusion and School Partnerships in September 2026. She provides strategic leadership for inclusion across the Trust, championing a culture where every child belongs, thrives and achieves their potential. Alongside this role, Michelle leads Bromley Schools' Collegiate as Scheme Manager and the Trust’s Challenge Partners Hub, supporting collaboration, initial teacher education, professional development and school improvement across the Trust and beyond.
With 19 years’ experience in education, including more than 12 years in senior leadership, Michelle has held a range of school and system leadership roles, supporting development in both primary and secondary phases including most recently serving as a Deputy Head in the Trust. She has led across inclusion, SEND, safeguarding, attendance, behaviour, wellbeing, curriculum and teaching, working with schools to develop effective practice and improve outcomes for children. Michelle is passionate about building sustainable improvement through strong partnerships, evidence-informed practice and professional learning, helping schools to create inclusive cultures where every child is known, valued and supported.
Michelle holds an MA in Applied Theatre (Community Education) from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH). She is also a Challenge Partners Lead Reviewer for Curriculum and Curriculum Leadership.
Michelle lives locally and outside of work, enjoys spending time with her family, reading, walking and exploring the outdoors.
