Welcoming Rob Hitch as Headteacher at Hayes School
Posted on: September 1st - 2025We are delighted to welcome Rob Hitch, who starts as Headteacher at Hayes School on the 1st September 2025. Rob has been a secondary Headteacher for the past six years and has spent 14 years as a senior leader in London schools, dedicated to improving outcomes for children and young people. He is also a member of our local community himself and is committed to ensuring local children and their families thrive and succeed.
Hayes School was rated as “Outstanding” by Ofsted in 2022, and Rob feels proud and privileged to lead such a wonderful school and to work alongside Hayes’ fantastic staff, students, and families to build on its many successes.
We also want to say a massive thank you to Claire Thompson, who has stepped up as interim Head of School at Hayes over the past year and we are delighted she is remaining at the school as Senior Deputy Headteacher. Importantly, our final thanks go to Steve Whittle, who worked at Hayes for 25 years, including leading the school through its most recent Ofsted inspection, and who we are delighted remains in our Trust as Headteacher at Langley Park School for Girls.
